'HAZY BLUE'
The "HAZY BLUE" collection began with inspiration from Agnes Martin's hazy blue colors and her repetitive thin lines.
Though the thin T-straps and lines overlaying the translucent mesh may seem regular, a closer look reveals wavy, irregular lines reminiscent of Agnes Martin's work. For the Spring/Summer collection, we used pony hair, which is not typically used, along with pleated nylon and wool silk, to add an element of unpredictability.
In the variations of materials, we maintained the core shape of the shoe with an extended midsole, enhancing the sleekness of the foot line, and added cutout details that reveal the toe cleavage and instep lines. The key color, hazy blue, is explored more deeply in an editorial resembling a blue dream, deeper than the collection itself.
